Chandigarh, March 14 -- Former Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Bibi Jagir Kaur rejoined the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) here on Thursday.
Kaur pledged to work even more assiduously to strengthen the party.
She was welcomed into the SAD by its President Sukhbir Singh Badal at the sthan of Sant Prem Singh Murarewala.
Asserting that she was an Akali by birth, Bibi Jagir Kaur said "I was an Akali and will remain an Akali always". She also asserted that she would continue to work in the religious sphere and do her best to strengthen the Shiromani Committee.
