Jaipur, Oct. 4 -- Senior Congress leader and former Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Rajasthan Assembly, Rameshwar Dudi, passed away in Bikaner yesterday late night following illness.

Dudi (62) had suffered a massive brain stroke over two years ago and since then, he was in a coma. He was under treatment at AIIMS Delhi for most of the time. In view of his declining condition, he was recently brought back home in Bikaner. However, he remained on life support till he breathed his last.

He was born on July 1, 1963 and started his political career as an NSUI leader. Dudi later entered the mainstream politics winning election as Pradhan in the Nokha Panchayat Samiti (1995-1999). He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Bikaner on the Congress tic...
