Mangaluru, June 11 -- Former Karnataka legislator Moyiuddin Bava and two of his associates have been booked for allegedly obstructing and threatening a senior official of the New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) in connection with a dispute over a civil project bill.
The incident reportedly occurred around 8 PM on June 9 when Bava, a former MLA from Mangaluru North and a Congress leader, along with two others, entered the office of the Deputy Chairperson of NMPA without prior appointment.
According to the FIR lodged at Panambur police station, the trio allegedly disrupted official work and behaved in an intimidating manner while pressing for early clearance of a pending bill related to a civil works project.
