Patna, Aug. 19 -- In a major political development ahead of the Assembly elections in Bihar, the BJP received a political boost as several prominent politicians joined the party strengthening the BJP's social equations and outreach.
Most prominent among them was former IPS officer Anand Mishra, who left Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party and joined the BJP in the presence of BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, deputy chief ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, and other senior leaders.
Prominent leader from the Bhumihar community Ashutosh, former Union Minister Nagmani Kushwaha and his wife, former Bihar minister Suchitra Sinha, also took membership of the
party.
