Karwar, Oct. 13 -- In a humorous and sarcastic outburst, former Karnataka Minister RV Deshpande today mocked several guarantee schemes introduced by his party Congress, including those championed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, in a possible move to strengthen his position ahead of an expected cabinet reshuffle.

While many laughed off his comments at a public event in Dandeli, Uttara Kannada district, political observers are questioning whether they reflect deeper dissatisfaction within the party ranks.
