Guntur, June 24 -- Former Andhra Chief Minister and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is to face another legal challenge as the police registered a case against him for violating the election model code of conduct.
The case relates to his visit to the Mirch yard located on the outskirts here on February 19, to listen to the problems of chilli farmers. The police did not give permission to the YSRCP for this mirch yard visit as the election code of conduct was enforced as the MLC election was to be held.
Violating the code of conduct, Jagan Reddy went to the mirch yard and spoke to the chilli farmers. He also made political speeches on the occasion without obtaining permission from the relevant officials.
