Rio De Janeiro, April 29 -- Former Brazil national team boss Dorival Junior has been appointed manager of seven-time Brazilian Serie A champion Corinthians, the Sao Paulo-based club said.
The 63-year-old replaces Argentine Ramon Diaz, who was sacked earlier this month following the club's poor start to the season.
Local media reported that Dorival had agreed to a contract that runs until December 2026.
