Rio De Janeiro, Aug. 6 -- Former Barcelona goalkeeper Neto arrived here ahead of his expected move to Botafogo.
The 36-year-old is set to sign a two-year deal with the reigning Brazilian and South American champions, having parted ways with English Premier League club Bournemouth by mutual
consent, Globo Esporte reported on Wednesday.
Neto also attracted the interest of Flamengo but chose to enter talks with Botafogo after being promised a regulator starting role, the report said.
Botafogo has prioritized the signing of a new goalkeeper as it negotiates the sale of John Victor to West Ham United.
Neto, who has one Brazil cap, made 63 appearances across all competitions for Bournemouth following his 2022 move from Barcelona.
