Lucknow, Oct. 27 -- Senior Hepatologist, Department of Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition Unit, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Prof Shalimar today said that every third person in India is suffering from some liver-related disorder and Metabolic Dysfunction Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD) has become the major cause of chronic liver diseases now.
Prof Shalimar said that obesity, diabetes and an inactive lifestyle are increasing rapidly in India.
