Sydney, Jan. 21 -- The ICC-sanctioned European T20 Premier League (ETPL) on Wednesday unveiled the owners of its first three franchises at an international press conference in Sydney, with the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge as the backdrop.

Amsterdam, Edinburgh, and Belfast were confirmed as the inaugural franchise cities for the league, which is set to begin in late summer 2026, marking a major step in the professionalisation of cricket in Europe.
