Brussels, Aug. 16 -- European Council leaders in a joint statement have announced that they will be holding a call with President Donald Trump on Sunday - ahead of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's meeting with Trump on Monday - seeking security guarantees for Kyiv.

The 'coalition of the willing' as they termed themselves, comprises of French President Emmanuel Macron, the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, and the European Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, as per The Guardian.
