Brussels, Sept. 23 -- Amid Russian aircraft and drones breaching the airspace of Poland and Estonia - two NATO countries - the European side of the bloc is increasingly discussing the building of a so-called 'drone wall' to protect the continent's eastern borders, in wake of any future assault from the Kremlin.

Seven EU member nations will meet in an online session on Friday with the European Commission and Ukrainian officials to discuss the proposed drone wall, a spokesperson for the EU executive confirmed Monday.

The gathering will include seven front-line countries - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria - alongside Ukraine and European Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius.
