Brussels, Nov. 15 -- The EU cannot continue extending large loans to Ukraine any longer without jeopardising its debt sustainability, given the war-ravaged nation's current economic state, making any repayment increasingly difficult, declared European Commissioner for Economy Valdis Dombrovskis.

Warning the bloc on Wednesday on the dangers of continuing to fund Kyiv amid its dire financial state, he urged member states to approve the use of frozen Russian assets to sustain financial support.
