Itanagar, Feb. 1 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Saturday announced that the 3097 MW Etalin Hydroelectric Project, slated to be India's largest hydroelectric project, is set to commence soon on the Dri River in Dibang Valley district.

Being developed by SJVN Ltd, the mega project is expected to play a transformative role in the region by accelerating infrastructure development, generating large-scale employment opportunities, boosting local livelihoods, and significantly strengthening the nation's energy security.
