Hyderabad, May 17 -- Telangana Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka met Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy at his residence in Banjara Hills on Saturday and submitted a petition proposing the construction of lift irrigation projects on the Godavari river in the Mulugu constituency.
Highlighting the plight of farmers in the region, Seethakka explained that despite the Godavari flowing for nearly 100 KM through Mulugu, the local farmers have long been deprived of irrigation facilities, resulting in a deep-rooted injustice that has spanned generations.
