Sangli, April 25 -- Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil said it is essential to create a strong network of quality Panand - all-weather motorable approach - roads so that farmers can easily reach their fields.
"In this regard, emphasis should be placed on developing maximum length of Panand roads under the Chief Minister Baliraja Farm/Panand Road Scheme, he said.
Patil, who is also district guardian minister, was speaking while presiding over the review meeting of the district level committee for the 'Shet/Panand road scheme.
He said that various relevant agencies under the district-level and assembly constituency-wise committees should work in a coordinated and responsible manner and speed up the work....
