Ranchi, July 23 -- A joint workshop on the Scheme for Promotion of Registration of Employers and Employees (SPREE) 2025 was held at the Chamber Bhawan today, jointly organised by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce.
The scheme, effective from July 1 to December 31, aims to encourage registration of unregistered employers and employees without penalty or inspection.
ESIC Regional Insurance Commissioner (East) Pranay Sinha said Jharkhand currently has 7 lakh insured persons (IPs). Once the number crosses 10 lakh, a sub-regional office will be opened in Jamshedpur.
