Chennai, Nov. 18 -- Farm and construction equipment major Escorts Kubota Ltd hopes to commence commercial production at its proposed plant in Uttar Pradesh in 2028-29, said a senior official.
The land acquisition to be completed by the end of this fiscal. The outlay would be between Rs.2,500-4,500 crore in multiple phases depending on the capacity. The company will produce tractors and construction equipment at the proposed plant, said Bharat Madan, Whole Time Director and Chief Financial Officer here today.
The company will also look at exports to North American markets from the new plant in Uttar Pradesh.
Madan and other senior officials were here to launch the company's advanced range of rice transplanters.
