Chennai, Feb. 12 -- The AIADMK headed by Edappadi K Palaniswami, who is also the
Leader of the Opposition, said the Madras High Court vacating the stay and allowing the
Election Commission of India (EC) to proceed with the petitions against the leadership dispute
was not a setback, while expelled leader O Panneerselvam welcomed it saying justice has
prevailed.
Reacting to the court order, Senior AIADMK leader and Rajya Sabha MP C Ve Shanmugam
it was not a setback to Mr Palaniswami.
Talking to reporters at the party office after holding discussions with senior leaders, Mr Shanmugham,
who is also a former Law Minister, said the court had asked the ECI to hold preliminary inquiry and
satisfy itself there exists a dispute before concluding ...
