Hyderabad, Dec. 4 -- "The right time for any entrepreneur to enter the space sector is now," said Commodore A Madhavarao (Retd.), Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), while addressing the CII Telangana Defence & Aerospace Conclave 2025 held in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Speaking at the inaugural session, he said government policies are strongly encouraging private-sector participation, with India's defence exports crossing Rs 23,000 crore in 2024-25. He noted that BDL has strengthened its R&D efforts, spending nearly 6 per cent of its turnover, and now works with more than 3,500 partner organisations, including 1,500 MSMEs.
