Bulawayo/Harare, Jan. 30 -- England and Afghanistan stormed into the semifinals of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 with dominant victories over New Zealand and Ireland, respectively, on Friday.

In Bulawayo, England remained unbeaten in the tournament as they outplayed New Zealand by 65 runs.

Electing to bat first on a challenging surface, England posted 234 for 7 in 50 overs. Ben Mayes scored 53, Caleb Falconer contributed 47, while Farhan Ahmed's late cameo of 29 not out off 23 balls accelerated the scoring.

New Zealand, in reply, stumbled to 169 all out in 38.5 overs. Manny Lumsden's brilliant five-wicket haul, including two successive wickets in the 39th over, and tight fielding ensured England's comfortable win.
