Kolkata, Oct. 25 -- An engineering student was allegedly dragged into a Trinamool Congress party office and brutally assaulted in Malda's English Bazar.
A written complaint has been lodged at Englishbazar police station against several individuals, including the wife of the Englishbazar Municipality chairman.
The victim, identified as Sangbid Goswami, is a first-year engineering student studying in Kolkata and a resident of Kuttitola area in Malda town.
His father, Kajal Goswami, is a member of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and associated with BJP's organisational activities in the district.
