Kolkata, Sept. 16 -- Defying the trade war of US President Donald Trump on the Indian businesses overseas, the engineering goods exports from India recorded 4.9 per cent year-on-year growth in August, 25 at US$9.90 billion as against US$9.44 billion in the corresponding period last year.

On a cumulative basis, engineering goods exports during the April-August period of the current financial year, 2025-26, increased 5.84 pc year-over-year to US$49.24 billion, according to EEPC India.

"It is encouraging to note that engineering goods exports have recorded positive growth in August 2025 despite uncertainties posed by US tariffs and several other challenges," EEPC India chairman Pankaj Chadha said today.
