Siliguri, Feb. 11 -- An engine while manoeuvring to change track hit a rear bogey of a stationary local passenger train in West Bengal's Cooch Behar district on Tuesday, Northeast Frontier Railway sources said.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that some people received minor injuries from the sudden impact in the rear bogey, but there has been no official confirmation from the NFR so far.
The accident happened at Bamanhat station around 10 am. But the impact was minor as the engine was moving at a snail's pace.
The Siliguri-bound 15468 passenger train was on halt at the Bamanhat station when the single engine, while changing the track, hit the rear bogey, sources added. UNI PC ARN SSP
