Shillong, March 7 -- Efficient work by professional consultants engaged by the state government
led to Meghalaya acquiring over Rs 7,427 crore worth projects during the last seven years and
Rs 2,400 crore was also sanctioned by the Centre for the Meghalaya Economic Growth Corridor, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said on Friday.
Replying to a question posed by opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP) member, Brightstarwell Marbaniang, Sangma informed that 39 individual consultants and 69 consultancy firms have been engaged by the government for preparation of Detailed Project Reports for various projects and schemes in the state.
