Ranchi, May 5 -- In a novel awareness initiative, a police station in Jharkhand welcomed a group of school girls in its premises and briefed them about police functions and procedures.
The Medininagar Town Police Station in Palamu district organised the programme as part of efforts to empower adolescent girls and make them self-reliant and aware.
A group of Class 9 students from KG CM Excellence School, Medininagar, visited the police station, where they were given a tour of the premises.
The programme was organised under the guidance and direction of the district Superintendent of Police, who had instructed all station house officers to educate students, especially girls, about police procedures and emergency services like Dial 112.
