Patna, Sept. 2 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said empowering women is essential for building a developed India, stressing that the government is taking multiple initiatives to ease the lives of mothers, sisters, and daughters.
Speaking via video conferencing at the launch of the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sakhari Sangh Limited, Modi said the new facility will enable women associated with Jeevika self-help groups across villages to access financial support seamlessly. "This system is fully digital, eliminating the need for physical visits as everything can now be done on a mobile phone," he noted.
