Los Angeles, Feb. 25 -- Emma Roberts is set to headline and executive produce a television reimagining of Bride Wars, offering a contemporary spin on the 2009 romantic comedy that originally starred Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway.
Despite lukewarm critical reception, the film proved commercially successful, earning approximately $115 million globally, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project comes from New Regency, which produced the film, and co-studios 20th Television and UCP. Sascha Rothchild (XO, Kitty, GLOW) is writing the updated take.
