New Delhi, July 29 -- Aiming to bolster the aquaculture infrastructure in the country, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has sanctioned the development of 11 Integrated aquaparks across 11 states, the Government informed Lok Sabha today.
The aquapark project has a total outlay of Rs 682.60 crore and comes under the central flagship Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY),
The aquaparks have been envisioned as holistic hubs that will provide end-to-end support across the aquaculture value chain, said Union Minister of State, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, George Kurian, in a written reply today.
