Koderma (Jharkhand), April 19 -- A 35-year-old man was killed after a herd of wild elephants attacked him in Kataiya village under Satgawan police station area of Koderma district late Saturday night, officials said. The deceased was identified as Rohit Kumar, a resident of the village. Villagers said a herd of 15 to 20 elephants has been moving across the area for nearly a month.

A local resident, Pintu Kumar, said the herd had entered nearby Gajghar village two days earlier, damaging a house and destroying stored food grains.
