Chaibasa, Jan. 6 -- Panic prevailed in the Goilkera block of West Singhbhum after a wild elephant went on a rampage late Monday night, killing three members of a family, including two minor children.
According to officials, the attack took place in a village, where a rogue tusker entered a residential area and attacked a family.
The victims were identified as Kundra Bahadan and his two children, son Kodma Bahadan and daughter Samu Bahadan, who died on the spot.
Another daughter of the family, Jingeen Bahadan, sustained serious head injuries in the attack. After being provided primary treatment, doctors referred her to Rourkela in neighbouring Odisha for advanced medical care, considering her critical condition.
