Nagpur, Dec. 10 -- The Maharashtra government's electric vehicle (EV) toll-free policy has come under scrutiny after it emerged that toll continued to be collected from EVs on key highways despite an official exemption.

Legislators in the Assembly during question hour raised serious concerns over the continued toll collection on the Samruddhi Mahamarg and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, even after the government formally granted toll exemption to electric vehicles.
