Nashik, Dec. 20 -- The State Election Commission has decided to postpone the elections in seven wards of three municipal councils in the district due to the court appeals related to the candidates for the post of mayor and non-compliance with the deadlines while filing the nomination papers.
These include four wards of Sinnar Municipal Council, two wards of Ozar Municipal Council and one ward of Chandwad Municipal Council.
The elections in wards no. 2, 4, 5 and 10 of Sinnar Municipal Council, wards no. 1 and 8 of Ozar Municipal Council and ward no. 3 of Chandwad Municipal Council were temporarily postponed.
