Mumbai, Sept. 10 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his happiness over election of former Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan as the Vice President of the country today, saying "it is a matter of pride for all of us".
In his message, he sincerely congratulated him, saying that Radhakrishnan, who served as the Governor of Maharashtra, was chosen as the vice-presidential candidate of the NDA alliance.
His victory was certain from the time of his nomination, and as a constituent party of the alliance, Shiv Sena extended its support to him, he said.
