Srinagar, Oct. 27 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah today cautioned the Election Commission of India (ECI) against "hastily" implementing the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, saying it should first assess whether the move has truly benefited voters in Bihar.
Speaking to reporters after the Assembly session, Omar said there have already been "some complaints" regarding the implementation of the SIR in Bihar.
"We don't even know if the SIR will be beneficial to the people who get it. Let the election in Bihar be completed first, and then let's see if the SIR was really beneficial or not," he said.
