Imphal, March 22 -- The two phase election to elect two MPs from Manipur is witnessing election campaigning by candidates, supporters.
The filing of nomination papers is also not taking place as expected and a sudden rush may take place on March 25. Election officials said for the NPF Lorho S Pfoze from Kayinu Village, Mao of Senapati District has filed his nomination papers.
There will be no filing of papers till Mar 24 as one of the biggest festival of the state, Yaoshang is celebrated from Mar 21 to 25. The BJP has announced RK Ranjan for Inner Manipur and Benjamin Mate for outer Manipur. The announcement for Congress is expected soon, according to Congress sources.
