Aizawl, Aug. 11 -- Eighteen prominent companies have entered the bidding process for the selection of a consultant to design the master plan for Mizoram's ambitious Peace City project, which will be developed in Thenzawl town, Serchhip district.

At a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Lalduhoma today, Lalmalsawma Pachuau, Secretary of the Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation (UD & PA) Department, revealed that the bidders include multinational companies.

He further stated that the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the selection of the consultant was issued on July 22.
