Ranchi, March 11 -- Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari on Wednesday announced that eight new medical colleges will be established in the state to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and expand medical education.
Presenting the budget for the health, food supply and disaster management departments in the Jharkhand Assembly, the minister said the government was committed to ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare services for people across the state.
He said Rs 7,990.29 crore has been allocated for the health department, Rs 2,887.26 crore for the food supply department and Rs 1,859.46 crore for the disaster management department.
