Dharamshala, Jan. 16 -- Eight students of Government Degree College, Dharamshala have actively participated as volunteers under the Himachal Pradesh government's "Sarthi Programme", extending guidance and support to elderly and needy patients in healthcare facilities.

Dr. Milap Sharma Principal Dr Rajendra Prasad Govt Medical College Kangra at Tanda told UNI on Friday that the Sarthi Programme is a people-centric initiative aimed at bridging the gap between healthcare providers and patients who often face difficulties due to illiteracy, lack of awareness, socio-economic constraints and unfamiliarity with hospital procedures.
