Patna, Dec. 28 -- The plying of trains were disrupted on Sunday in Jasidih-Jhajha section under Asansol division of Eastern Railway following derailment of eight bogies of a goods train between Lahaban and Simultala stations.
East Central Railway CPRO Saraswati Chandra said here that rail operations on both the up and down lines of the affected section were suspended due to the accident causing inconvenience to train movements on the route.
He said that up and down long distance trains scheduled to run via Jasidih-Jhajha section have been diverted to another route or are being controlled.
The CPRO informed that soon after receiving information, Accident Relief Trains (ARTs) from Asansol, Madhupur and Jhajha were rushed to the site.
