Cairo, Oct. 19 -- Egypt's Pyramids Football Club lifted their first ever Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) Super Cup title on Saturday, defeating Morocco's Renaissance Berkane 1-0 at Cairo's 30 June Stadium.
The breakthrough came in the 75th minute when Congolese striker Fiston Mayele fired a precise right-footed shot from the right side of the box to the bottom left corner, following an assist from Moroccan Mohamed Chibi, sealing a hard-fought victory for the CAF Champions League holder.
Throughout the match, captain Ali Gabr led a solid defensive line, while Mayele's decisive strike once again highlighted his importance as the team's attacking spearhead.
