Hyderabad, Jan. 5 -- union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday alleged that the education system in Telangana has been severely damaged during the ten-year rule of the BRS and the subsequent two years of Congress governance.

Addressing the 44th State Conference of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at SSR Convention in Shamshabad, he said nearly 6,000 schools were closed during the BRS regime and the Congress government not only failed to reopen them but shut down another 1,500 schools within a year.

He claimed that fee reimbursement arrears have crossed Rs 10,000 crore, leading to the closure of several colleges, and warned that the BJP and ABVP would not remain silent if students continue to suffer.
