Kangra, Dec. 23 -- Deputy Chief Whip of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania today said that education plays a vital role in nation-building, as it forms the foundation of individual and societal progress.
He was speaking while presiding over the annual prize distribution ceremony at Government Senior Secondary School, Durgala, where he also inaugurated newly constructed additional rooms built at a cost of about Rs 60 lakh.
Pathania said the state government is committed to providing quality education along with basic facilities, scholarships to meritorious and underprivileged students, and a clean, healthy and drug-free environment in educational institutions.
