Dharamshala, Nov. 26 -- Just days ahead of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly's Winter Session, a newly released book titled "The Visionary" centred on the philosophy and political thought of India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru has triggered a sharp political exchange in the state.

Amid criticism over the book's publication and his role in it, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Chairperson of the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board, has issued a strong public defence. He clarified that the book was published with due permission from the Jawaharlal Nehru Foundation and said its Rs 50 price tag would not only add to the Board's revenue but also help cultivate reading habits among students.
