Mumbai, April 6 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will probe the assets of Ashok Kharat, a self-proclaimed godman facing multiple charges of rape and property fraud. Fadnavis also confirmed a separate investigation into the leak of call detail records (CDR) that allegedly reveal conversations between Kharat and several state politicians.
Speaking to reporters, Fadnavis emphasised that accessing CDRs is strictly prohibited for unauthorised individuals. "Only designated agencies have the right to such data.
