Kolkata, July 28 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a fresh summons to West Bengal minister Chandranath Sinha in connection with the ongoing investigation into the multi-crore school jobs scam in the state.
Sinha, who heads the state's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Textiles Department, has been directed to appear at the ED's Salt Lake office on July 31.
Incidentally, the summons to Sinha-who is the MLA from the Bolpur Assembly constituency in Birbhum-came on the same day that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was holding a rally in his constituency, protesting what she described as the BJP's campaign of "linguistic terrorism"
against Bengalis in several BJP-ruled states.
