Bengaluru, Oct. 6 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Bengaluru Zonal Office, has provisionally attached 34 immovable properties, including Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) sites, with a market value of Rs 40.08 crore on October 4, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, the official sources today said.

The move comes in connection with the ongoing investigation into the alleged illegal allotment of MUDA sites.

According to ED, these properties were identified as being acquired through proceeds of crime linked to the irregularities in the allotment process.

With this latest attachment, the total value of properties seized in this case has reached approximately Rs 440 crore.
