Kolkata, Nov. 7 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a series of raids across West Bengal as part of an ongoing probe into a major human trafficking racket believed to have extensive links across the state on Friday morning.
According to official sources, simultaneous search and seizure operations are being carried out at six different locations, with each ED team accompanied by Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel for security.
Among the sites under scrutiny is the residence of a civil engineer in South Dum Dum, on the northern outskirts of Kolkata, and the Salt Lake home of a businessman who owns several bar-cum-restaurants in and around the city.
