New Delhi, Jan. 9 -- Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday alleged that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid at the office of political consultancy firm Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) in West Bengal as a pressure tactic ahead of the state Assembly elections.

Raising questions over the timing of the action, Yadav, in a statement posted on his WhatsApp channel, said the ED had "raided the premises of IPAC, the agency working for West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee," just as the election process in the state was about to begin. "Even before the West Bengal Assembly elections start, the ED has once again knocked at the door," he said.
