Kolkata, Sept. 15 -- Bengali cinema actress and former TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty appeared before Enforcement Directorate officials in New Delhi today in response to a summon in connection with the alleged app betting scam, official sources said.

Mimi Chakraborty, who represented the West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress from Jadavpur Lok Sabha seat in south Kolkata between 2019-2024, was grilled over four hours in alleged money-laundering matter related to an online betting app, sources said.

The actress, who was the brand ambassador of the online app betting, had appeared before the ED officials after being asked to present herself in regard to her association with the online betting app.
